Run with Pyllon - EndurANCE
JOIN US IN AVIEMORE SATURDAY 13th AUGUST 2022
‘Run with Pyllon’ is a brand new series of short events from the same team who brought you the legendary Pyllon XP weekend training camps.
These special one-day events will be more than just a run with some great people. Each event will be focused on a particular topic or route. Everything we do has a purpose and our ‘Run with Pyllon’ events will be no different. From our experience coaching hundreds of athletes we know how to help people to get the most out of their training, and maximum enjoyment from their running, whether new to the sport or an experienced athlete.
These events are a fast-track way of learning more about ultra and trail running, honing your preparation and finding the inspiration you need to take on bigger and bolder challenges. Connecting with like-minded people, doing the thing that you love helps you to build relationships that will last beyond any racing season.
Run with us in Aviemore
In our inaugural ‘Run with Pyllon’ event we will be heading to the Cairngorms for a day focused on ENDURANCE. In this event we will help you to:
Plan and manage your pacing
Develop your own toolbox for tackling those low points in any event
Build resilience
Gain clarity on your own purpose going into any race - improving your chances of success
In-between our conversations we will also be doing plenty of running - so you won’t have to sacrifice your weekend training. You will have the chance to run approximately 20 miles, and from our base at Badaguish we will give you the opportunity to run around the famous Glenmore loop. The majority of the run will take place on a looped course so you don’t need to worry about pace and keeping up. As runners we always stress about that right? This event is open to ALL!
The event is particularly useful for people taking on longer races than they’ve done before, for those training for 12hr, 24hr and Backyard events and athletes looking to take a better approach to 100 mile events. It’ll also be a good training day for anyone with a race coming up.
Learn from the Best
The event will be lead by 2 of the UK’s most accomplished 24-hr runners. Both are coaches at Pyllon and need little introduction:
Debbie Consani: GB 24 hour vests, 2022 Spine winner and will be fresh (or not so fresh) from Badwater
James Stewart: GB 24 hour vests and record holder at Glenmore 24
We’ll be based at the brilliant Badaguish Centre just outside Aviemore, where we will do our initial welcome and coffee. And we will return there after our run for lunch, a change of clothes and tutorials (showers will be available too).
We can also offer some extra one-on-one time slots with any of the coaches to review your training plan or answer more detailed training questions - on request.
